The city's thriving job market, low cost of living, and high quality of life were cited as the primary reasons for its top ranking. Huntsville has also been recognized as the most affordable place to live out of the 150 most populous metro areas in the country, as reported by US News. Hunstville - already Alabama’s largest city. Home prices are 25% lower than the national average, and overall costs are about 7-10% lower.
